Sarah's Story

Her name is Sarah. And oh, how that girl could smile. In 2018, our world changed when Sarah was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer. For two years, our family walked a road filled with hospital stays, treatments, countless prayers, and heartbreak we never imagined. But in the middle of it all, there was Sarah. With her beautiful smile, quick wit, clever humor, and unwavering faith, she reminded us that our strength comes from the Lord. Sarah endured things no child should ever have to face, yet she still found ways to bring light into the darkest moments. She taught us that joy isn't the absence of suffering. Sometimes it's laughter in a hospital room, a silly joke on a hard day, or trusting God when nothing makes sense. In 2020, at just 13 years old, Sarah went home to be with Jesus. Our hearts were forever changed, but so was our understanding of faith, joy, and what truly matters. Holy Shenaniganz is one small way we're carrying her joy forward.
